Downstroy - mosh all the way

I met this band right before I had to take the stage and have the 2nd gig in my life. They played 2 spots before us and I was like: "We are going to play after THEM?" Needless to say these dudes kicked the living hell out of the crowd. It was masive, groovy and brutal and the 5'7'' 100 pound singer sounded like Max Cavalera on steroids. We became friends and they decided to record an EP at our place. The first EP was recorded before we had a studio and it was a hit. Afterward they've decided to record a full album at our new studio and so it happened. My bro did the recording and I did the mastering. My vocals apear in one song they did the video for, but I did not attend the shooting. Downstroy signed a deal with SMP Records and are going to have their album available for free download soon.

Anima - ethno rockers

I had absolutely nothing to do with this recording, it was fully done by my bro I only had some screaming to do on one track. You should check this out if you prefer rock over metal. This is an excellent choice of music for an old rock fan.

Ashen Epitaph - death metal madness

Ashen Epitaph is a old-school death metal band made out of good friends who like booze and gigs. I had the pleasure of working with them in 2005 I think that's when we did their first demo "From Underground" in my bedroom. The recording process was pretty standard and it didn't take much time at all. My monitoring was pretty weak at that time so I had to mess around a lot with the guitars. The vocals were recorded both English and Hungarian. After a few years in 2008 they wanted to do another demo so they approached us. By that time had better hardware so my brother tracked the drums in our studio. Drums were recorded using Allen & Heath GL2 on M-Audio Delta 1010LT. The boys recorded the DI guitars at home and I reamped those. We recorded the vocals in my bedroom since the boys wanted a dirty roomy feeling and we could drink beer and smoke in there and my philosophy is: "If you can, you gotta have fun". For the vocals I used a Behringer Tube Ultragain MIC100 Preamp and a MXL 2001 condenser microphone.
